As the owner of Iron Street Productions, Le’Royce also works as an aspiring actress. Le’Royce just wrapped shooting her first feature film as the principle character Deidre in Lilly’s Thorn (Old Virginia Films) and worked as an extra in the soon to be released box-office film The Box , (Darko Entertainment) scheduled for release in March 2009. Currently, you can spot on her on the small screen on both the CNN and FOX news channels, in the national commercial campaign, “How?” for Lockheed Martin, and last year, she appeared as an Angolan Mother in the original production of Journey of Destiny (CBS), in commemoration of the Jamestown 400th Anniversary (Palomino Entertainment). Locally, she’s been seen onstage as Ruth in A Raisin in the Sun at the Peninsula Community Theater. Other stage credits include originating the roles of: Sister Sylvia in No One’s Perfect, Atlanta, Georgia; Joan, in Open House, Spangdahlem, GE and Naomi in, All That and a Bag of Chips (Cheyenne, WY). Additional stage performances include: Little Shop of Horrors, Terminal Bar, Censored: On Final Approach, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Le’Royce began her directing career in Germany with The American Century by Murphy Guyer, and then went on to direct the first-ever film to stage production of Santa’s Letters by E.C. Loverde. Her local directing/producing credits include: the Broadway Classic For Colored Girls … which went on to tour the local area in both Smithfield and Portsmouth: Neil Simon’s Proposals, and Ossie Davis’ Broadway Classic Purlie. Le’Royce has been honored with nominations from the US Army Europe Tournament of Plays (Topper’s Award) in the categories of Best Actress in a Drama (2004) and Best Costume Design (2005).
