Our 2009 - 2010 Season

In this original dramatic comedy, six breast cancer survivors band together to take on more than just their cancer and its side effects. They take on life!  They find new meaning for their lives through love and laughter. Cancer is nothing to laugh about – but you can choose to laugh at it!

A young mother discovers that she has breast cancer and reluctantly attends a support group during chemotherapy treatment. The group consists of diverse personalities and they learn to work together to deal with problems within the group. The play is both a comedy and a tragedy. Comedy is how many of the members deal with the tragedy of cancer. The play underlines the tremendous and relentless spirit of breast cancer survivors.

Knocked-up and seriously broke, a successful publicist is plunged into a topsy-turvy world of welfare mothers and drug addicts, and forced to confront the family she left behind. Fabulation is a darkly comic rags-to-riches-to-rags tale of falling down and reaching up to find the goodness within. Adult Language and Situations.

It's 1927 in a rundown studio in Chicago where Ma Rainey is recording new sides of old favorites. More goes down in the session than music in this riveting portrayal of rage, racism, the self hate and exploitation.

"Searing ... funny, salty, carnal and lyrical.... Wilson has lighted a dramatic fuse that snakes and hisses through several anguished eras of American life. When the fuse reaches its explosive final destination, the audience is impaled by the impact." N.Y. Times.

"Brilliant ... explosive! Dramatically riveting." Newhouse Newspapers.
